About Your Time Here at GoFresh
What is your role at GoFresh? I am currently the Pricing Manager. I help control the Gross Profit for the company.
How has GoFresh helped you in your career development? They have helped provide me with the tools that I have needed to advance my position within the company.
What do you find the most challenging at GoFresh? I want people to understand and see GoFresh thru my eyes. Sometimes its difficult to get my visions across to people without sounding like I’m bossy or that I know it all, because I don’t. I know the hard work that has been put into making this company what it is today.
What is the favorite part about working for GoFresh? That it is a family based company. The Owners have always been good to me. I couldn’t imagine working for anyone else. I have some really good friends here that I have worked with for many years.
What are 3 words to describe GoFresh? Exciting, Challenging and Family
If you could switch your job with anyone else within GoFresh, whose job would you want? I have pretty much worked in every department since I have started working here and I love where I am at today. I don’t feel like there is anyone here that I would want to switch jobs with.
How did you come to work at GoFresh? My husband’s family had all worked at GoFresh since the early 80’s and he was working here as well. His mom worked in the repack area and a position became available so I took it. I started in June of 93 working for cash and then Mark hired me full time after a year. I worked in the repack for 9 years. I was thankful for the job but I wanted more. A position became available in the office and I approached ownership about my desires to do more. They gave me the awesome opportunity and I have just kept moving up from there.
Fun Facts About You
Where is your hometown? I lived in Inola from birth to the age of 12 and then we moved to Collinsville.
Describe what you were like at age 10. Outgoing.. I loved to be outdoors. I spent all the time I could with my friends.
How do you define success? To me success is becoming the best person that you could possibly be. In the workforce, and at home.
If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see cast as you? Julia Roberts
If you could meet anyone in the world dead or alive who would it be and why? Princess Diana. She loved her kids and she loved helping others. She was a true inspiration for women to stand up for themselves.
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us. I became a mom at 17 and was a single parent for two years.
What phobias do you have? Mice and snakes.
What one food do you wish had zero calories? Anything with chocolate.
Before working at GoFresh, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had? I was a carhop at Sonic. That’s the only other job I had before working here.
Which cartoon character would you most like to switch lives with? Casper… I’m friendly to everyone but sometimes I would like to be invisible.
